Paymentshield upgrades Point of Sale software
e-commerce software provider, Mi Limited, has delivered a new online Point of Sale system for Paymentshield.
The system will support the administration of the latter’s Sesame Insure IFA network offering, which includes household and landlord’s insurance.
Powered by Mi Trader technology, the facility provides multi-party access for Paymentshield administrators and Sesame’s 600 plus IFAs, while placing the business in a secure web-based environment.
It also enables Sesame network members to retrieve quotes and bind risks, improving overall speed to market.
Features include full auto-rating, MTA and renewal functionality, add-on processing for legal expenses and home emergency cover, electronic referrals and online document production.
The system links to the Open GI core-back office for accounting purposes, using xStream to transfer XML data from the online site.
Paymentshield recently took over the administration of Sesame Insure’s book of household and landlord’s insurance, adding to its portfolio of mortgage related insurance products.
The busiess equates to 30,000 existing policies, with ongoing new business projections at around 3,000 policies per year.
In other Paymentshield news, the firm recently announced that it has made more than 60 members of staff redundant, or around 20% of the workforce.
The firm said some of its processes had been duplicated since its acquisition by Towergate group three years ago.
