UK risk and insurance firm Aon Limited has announced the appointment of Simon Allen as chief operating officer.

Allen, whose appointment requires FSA approval, also acquires a seat on the Aon Limited board and brings with him extensive industry experience.

Prior to joining Aon he worked for Prudential as chief operations officer, and earlier worked for Capital One Bank, Europe, as vice president of international operations.

As Aon Limited’s chief operating officer he will be tasked with driving operational improvement and ensuring clients enjoy a distinctive and rewarding experience.

Aon Limited CEO Rob Brown has warmly welcomed Allen’s appointment and praised his strong track record.
