Aon Corporation has announced it has extended the contract of the firm’s president and CEO.

Gregory C. Case, who was due to have his contract up for renewal next year, will now stay on until 2015.

Lester B. Knight, non-executive chairman, has praised Case’s running of the firm and said that Aon is well-placed to improve value for the shareholder under his leadership.

Case has paid tribute to the firm’s team around the world in enhancing Aon’s foundation, and expressed his gratitude to the firm’s board for their vote of confidence in him.

He has held the position of president and CEO since 2005, when he first joined Aon, and last year was named Insurance Executive of the Year.
