APC hire Coleman to lead SME D&O efforts

APC, the commercial insurance underwriting agency, has hired Andrew Coleman to lead the firm’s entry into the online UK directors and officers market.

He joins the firm as D&O underwriter, and brings with him decades of experience of both underwriting and broking in the US and UK.

Coleman leaves behind the Navigators Syndicate at Lloyd’s where he worked as D&O class underwriter to join APC.

Brokers will be able to utilise APC’s online trading platform QuoteMac to generate quotes in less than two minutes.

Ian Russell, underwriting director, has expressed the firm’s delight at having recruited a man of Coleman’s experience to provide SMEs with D&O coverage.

Russell added that at present the SME market is underrepresented in the D&O product field, going on to say that the online route also makes it quicker and easier for SMEs seeking coverage.
