Willis Europe BV has announced the appointment of Niek Post as the new chief executive officer of the firm’s Dutch operations.

Post, who assumes his position with immediate effect, is based in Amsterdam and will report directly to the CEO of Willis Continental Europe, Adam Garrard.

He joins Willis from Aon Netherlands, and brings with him over a quarter of a century of experience in the Dutch insurance market.

Earlier in his career Post worked for ING Bank as MD of the firm’s Insurance & Risk Consultancy.

Garrard has welcomed the appointment, and praised Post’s high service level and sales-focused approach.

Post himself has expressed his delight at the chance to lead one of the country’s foremost brokers, adding that there was considerable scope for growth in a number of sectors.
