Young Marmalade to win award

Young Marmalade, the young person’s car insurance provider, is to receive an award from Prince Michael at the Road Safety Conference in Cambridge this Friday.

The award will be in recognition of the firm’s policy to provide low-cost insurance to drivers who pass a road safety course.

Young Marmalade has led the way with Provisional Marmalade, an innovative policy for learner drivers which avails them of affordable car insurance and the flexibility to cancel at any time.

In October the firm published research showing that some 86% of young drivers were being overcharged when added to their parents’ policies, driving up the numbers of young motorists without insurance.

Richard Hammond, the Hamster from Top Gear, also backed the firm in October, endorsing its approach of user friendliness and low-cost.
