Kwik Fit Insurance is recruiting new staff at its Lanarkshire headquarters, where it expects to employ over 1,000 by the turn of the year.

The insurance intermediary will be filling 84 new posts between now and January 2010 and local jobseekers are invited to a recruitment day on Saturday 31st October between 11.00 am and 1.00 pm, at Kwik Fit’s Tannochside Business Park offices, in Uddingston.

New employees will be taking up a variety of roles at the firm’s call centre including outbound sales, Internet sales and policy renewals.

Group managing director, Brendan Devine, says: “We’re looking at a number of opportunities for us to grow our business and we need to ensure we recruit good people who will help us to achieve this.”

He adds: “This is a really exciting time for everyone at Kwik Fit Insurance as we aim to strengthen our position in the UK insurance market.”

Last month, Kwik Fit won the UK Broker Awards’ Investment in People category, in recognition of its commitment to staff development and well-being.

Also this year, the firm received a Healthy Working Lives Gold award from the Scottish Government and took 17th place in the Sunday Times 100 best companies to work for list.
