Ironshore expands into Lloyd’s Property business

Ironshore Inc. has been given the green light to write direct and facultative property business on behalf of its Pembroke Lloyd’s Syndicate.

The team will underwrite a broad range of property risks, with an emphasis on international business.

Rod Todd has been named as the head of the Lloyd’s Property Operation, and joined Ironshore two years ago as senior VP and property underwriter.

Prior to this he worked as a joint team manager for Talbot Underwriting Syndicate, handling Property Direct and Facultative.

In addition, Ironshore has announced the promotion of Peter Coleman to the post of head of Bermuda Property.

Coleman will be tasked with developmental supervision of the Bermuda Property Operation, as well as responsibility for strategic direction.

He joined Ironshore in 2007 as a senior VP and property underwriter, before which he served as a Principal with Integro London.
