Insurance broker and risk adviser Marsh has announced that Peter Box, previously a partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), has joined the firm’s board as a non-executive independent director.

In his former role as a PwC partner he was an audit and business advisory partner dealing with everything from large international business to specialist national firms.

With a focus on the insurance sector, Box developed a knowledge of the industry both within the UK and on the global stage.

Box left PricewaterhouseCoopers at the end of June, and his new post will also see him chair Marsh’s Audit Committee.

Marsh’s UK CEO, Martin South, has welcomed Box to the firm and praised his exceptional knowledge of the market and strong track record.
