LV=’s buildings insurance claims are to be handled through a new business model, the insurer has announced.

As part of the changing model LV= is to outsource its buildings claims validation and subsequent building repairs suppliers.

Building repairs will be handled by Eastwell and Rok, with Davies Group handling claims validation and management.

The changes comes as the contract between LV= and its present supplier ends on 7 November.

Homeserve HPR, the present supplier, will continue to handle current claims, with LV= retaining the services of Chemdry, Homeserve Emergency Services (HES) and Homeserve Content Service (HCS).

The new business model has been introduced in a bid to enhance customer satisfaction by increasing efficiency.

General insurance Managing Director John O’Roarke has said that the changes comes following a comprehensive review, with the intention of improving customer service.
