XL Capital Ltd (NYSE: XL) has announced that Chief Financial Officer Brian Nocco is to part ways with the firm after the end of the year.

Nocco has held the post of chief financial officer since mid-2007, and is to stay on beyond the end of 2009 in order to help facilitate a smooth transition.

XL Capital has indicated that although a successor is not yet in place it has begun the search.

President and Chief Executive Officer Mike McGavick has thanked Nocco for his contribution to the firm and wished him well for his future endeavours.
