Insurance broker and risk adviser Marsh has been given the green light by the Egyptian Financial Supervisory Authority (EFSA) to provide full insurance broking and advisory services within Egypt.

Risk advice will be provided through Marsh Egypt LLC and insurance via Marsh for Insurance Services S.A.E, (both are wholly owned subsidiaries of MMC).

EFSA Deputy Chairman Dr Adel Mounir has stated the Egyptian government is committed to encouraging a vibrant insurance sector and expressed his pleasure at granting the necessary licence to Marsh for it to embark upon further operations in the country.

Marsh’s Egyptian Country Manager Afaf Abdel Hameed has thanked the government for its support in permitting the firm to conduct a wider range of financial activities in the country after a decade of doing business there.
