Aon appoint head of risk transfer

Keith Ashworth has been appointed by Aon to serve as the firm’s new head of risk transfer for UK & EMEA.

He joined the firm three years ago as an Aon Global director, prior to which he spent 17 years with JLT and has more than three decades total experience in the sector.

The position, which falls underneath the umbrella of Aon Global’s newly integrated team, combining UK broking with EMEA business development and EMEA wholesale property teams, will see Ashworth focus upon large multinational companies, property & casualty risk transfer programmes and designing and placing multiline.

A trio of further appointments to support Ashworth have been announced, including Guy Malyon’s new role as head of UK Broking, Chris Sutton becoming head of strategic risk financing, and Alan Abel’s appointment to head of risk transfer, EMEA property.

Ashworth will report directly to the managing director of Aon Global UK, Karl Hennessy, who has expressed his delight at Ashworth’s appointments.
