| August 18, 2009 | 0 Comments

IGI Insurance has announced it has been given the status of A- by A.M. Best.

The assignment of the high rating will help cement the firm’s position as leading general insurer in the United Kingdom, according to Managing Director Keith Wardell.

IGI Insurance offers consumers throughout the country a broad range of insurance products including Legal Expenses, Caravan, Bonds, Gap and Warranties.

The A- rating is also the first credit rating IGI Insurance has received in its own right.

The firm has undergone some substantial transitions in recent times, acquiring Complete Claims in 2008 and in 2007 being acquired by Bermuda-based AmTrust International Insurance.
