Guy Carpenter makes LAC appointments
Guy Carpenter & Company, LLC has announced a number of appointments in the LAC (Latin America and Caribbean) region.
Aidan Pope is to be based in Miami and becomes chief executive officer of Latin America and Caribbean Operations.
He brings with him over a quarter of a century of experience in reinsurance within the LAC region and most recently served as CEO of the LAC business with Aon Benfield.
Pope will be collaborating closely with LAC Chairman Hugh Powell and both men will report directly to Andrew Marcell, CEO of Guy Carpenter’s Americas operations.
Guy Carpenter has also named Judi Newsam as the new head of the treaty business in Brazil.
Newsam will be based in Rio de Janeiro and be responsible to the head of Brazil, Jorge Caminha.
She has worked in the Brazilian reinsurance sector for the last eight years, and is a 25 year veteran of Aon Benfield, which she has left to join Guy Carpenter.
