Willis Aerospace, part of global insurance broker Willis Group Holdings, has announced the appointment of Stephen Kisor as executive VP and head of the Willis Aviation office in Los Angeles.

He brings with him over a quarter of a century of experience in the sector, and is familiar with all aspects of aviation insurance.

He joins the firm from Aon, where he spent over a decade, most recently as executive VP and supervisor of the firm’s activities in Los Angeles and Chicago.

His appointment is the latest in a string of strategic hires the insurance broker has made, including Neil Getter (New York executive VP), and Larry Mills (Dallas VP).

Like Kisor, Getter and Dallas both joined Willis from Aon.

Kisor will report directly to the CEO of Aviation in North America, Garrett Hanrahan.
