Liberty International Underwriters Europe (LIU Europe) has named Stuart Chamberlain as the firm’s new senior regional casualty underwriter for its branch Manchester.

He brings with him extensive experience of underwriting with both Lloyd’s and LIU.

In his new post Chamberlain will be tasked with supporting brokers by giving them technical assistance, in addition to which he will foster casualty business not only in Manchester and the North of England, but Scotland as well.

Chamberlain’s Mancunian appointment is another part of LIU’s programme of growing its presence across the British regions.

The head of LIU Europe’s UK and Ireland Commercial Unit, Paul Kurgo, has explained that the firm’s commitment to bolster its regional presence in the UK is to enable greater support of a technical and developmental nature for its brokers.
