Brit becomes ECB’s chief sponsor

Brit Insurance is to become the primary Team Sponsor of England Cricket, it has been announced.

The deal, lasting initially for a four year period, will begin in January next year and was announced by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB).

The agreement will mean that all playing and training apparel of both the men’s and women’s teams, as well as the England Lions and disabled team, will be emblazoned with Brit’s logo.

The ECB chief executive, David Collier, has expressed the organisation’s delight at having landed Brit as its principal sponsor.

Collier went on to thank Vodafone for their strong support as Brit’s predecessor principal sponsor over the last 12 year period.

The announcement comes almost halfway into the Ashes Test series, in which England have drawn one game and won the second to achieve a 1-0 lead over Australia.
