CFC launches new cover for online gaming firms
CFC Underwriting has launched Esurance Ice, a new policy aimed at online gaming companies and backed by Lloyd’s of London.
The cover is designed to address the risks of operating in the current legislative environment and is available worldwide, excluding US claims.
The firm’s business development director, Graeme Newman, comments: “By its very nature online gaming is about staking millions. That combined with its global reach and complex legislative environment means that it’s essential for companies to have the right policy with the right insurer.”
Esurance Ice is CFC’s second launch this month and follows the introduction of Biosurance R&D, which the firm describes as “a blended policy specifically designed for research and development companies in the Life Sciences industry”.
Biosurance has been developed in response to broker requests for a more complete solution to the risks faced by companies developing new drugs and medical technology.
According to CFC, the sector generates a £200 million insurance market, which until now it has been dominated by “a handful of large incumbents”.
