Commercial and liability specialist, Anglo Pacific Consultants (London) Ltd, has achieved Lloyd’s accredited status.

The company, which trades as APC, says it will be using its new status to further European expansion plans.

The firm is already in the process of developing its web-based underwriting platform, Quote Mac, to distribute APC products across The Channel.

It also intends to offer a “white label” service to European broker partners, which will provide access to its underwriting platform plus a facility at Lloyd’s.

Meanwhile, the firm’s 800 UK broker partners will benefit from new openings for larger risks and a broader range of cover, plus a speedier service.

Commenting on developments, APC chief executive officer, Brian Russell, says: “We have had the desire and the expectation for some time that APC would make a step change and we are delighted to have been granted Lloyd’s accreditation as a major part of that.”

He adds: “There are some exciting developments in play and things are already progressing quickly so we expect to be making further announcements very soon.”

On that note, new jobs are anticipated.
