Hiscox Bermuda announces brace of appointments
International specialist insurer Hiscox has announced a pair of new appointments at Hiscox Bermuda.
Two new healthcare underwriters (Ian Thompson and Nick Williamson) are to join the firm, pending immigration approval.
Thompson will become senior vice president of healthcare, with Williamson being appointed to the post of vice president of healthcare.
The two men will be tasked with building up a portfolio of healthcare liability business, and the healthcare team in Bermuda will primarily be concerned with provision of bespoke coverage for large healthcare institutions.
Both new appointments join the firm from Endurance Specialty Insurance Ltd., prior to which Thompson ran Catlin Group’s Healthcare team, and Williamson worked for ACE.
Hiscox Bermuda’s chief executive, Charles Dupplin, has welcomed the brace of appointments and paid tribute to their reputations and wealth of experience.
