Insurance Services Office (ISO) has reported that its ISO Claims Outcome Advisor (COA) is now the leading personal injury claims evaluation solution for the UK motor insurance market.
According to the group, the majority of the UK’s top 25 motor insurers use one or other system to assist in evaluating personal injury claims and 70% of this group have opted for COA.
The solution works by creating an historic database of a company’s personal injury claims to help ensure financial settlements are fair, consistent and appropriate.
It also allows claims handlers to manage all aspects of a claim using one system, from first notice of loss to final settlement.
COA was launched in the UK in 2001 and has been growing its presence steadily since, gaining seven new customers in the past year alone.
ISO’s head of client services, Joe Pendle, comments: “Whilst this is a great achievement … we realise that the market is constantly in flux and is likely to experience significant changes in the months and years ahead.”
The firm says it has therefore been “investing heavily” in the COA system and support staff.
