Marsh appoints new UK director
Insurance broker and risk adviser Marsh has announced that John Nicholson has been appointed as Risk and Governance director in the UK.
Nicholson has spent over three decades as a risk adviser and insurance broker, the last 11 years of which have been spent occupying senior positions within Marsh.
He will retain his position as chairman of middle market business in Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Isle of Man.
The post, which is newly created, will see Nicholson responsible for continuing to implement strong risk management and governance policies in Marsh’s UK activities.
He will collaborate closely with the firm’s compliance, internal audit, legal and risk leaders, as well as working alongside Marsh’s UK business leaders.
Nicholson will report to both the UK chief executive officer, Martin South, and the non-executive chairman Sir Peter Middleton.
