Two former Aon/Benfield employees this week joined SBJ Global Risks Limited.

Steve Ford and Simon Laycock will form a new binding authority team at the Lloyd’s and international insurance broker.

Both Ford and Laycock have over 20 years experience in the London insurance market, with a focus on business from North America and International Non Marine Binding.

They both served at Benfield for 10 years before its merger with Aon in 2008.

Simon Rice, SBJ Global Risks chief executive, said: “We are thrilled that Steve Ford and Simon Laycock will be joining us.

“They have an excellent reputation in the London Market and will enhance our existing Non Marine capabilities and will be significant assets to our firm.

“We have a significant portfolio of International and US Binders and both Steve and Simon will assist us in developing this niche area.”

SBJ Global Management recently declared a management buyout from former owners Bluefin Group Limited.
