Marsh strengthens EMEA presence

Insurance broker and risk adviser Marsh has announced the appointment of Neil Irwin to lead new client development across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

He has worked for Marsh for the last two decades during which time he has occupied numerous client development positions including leadership of EMEA Middle Market Client Development.

Irwin will be directly responsible to Chris Lay, Client Development MD and head of Middle Market, EMEA, and will be based in London.

Irwin will be tasked with fostering new sales activity in collaboration with the firm’s business leaders throughout EMEA, and will be responsible for delivering Marsh’s new growth plan.

Marsh’s EMEA chief executive officer, David Batchelor, has stated that an expansion of the firm’s client base in EMEA is a vital short- and longterm strategic objective, and has praised Irwin’s track record of successful client development.
