Catlin searches for new CFO
International specialty property/casualty insurer and reinsurer Catlin Group has announced that the firm’s chief financial officer, Chris Stooke, is to part ways with the firm later on in the year.
He first joined the firm six years ago, and during his time with Catlin has served on its board as an executive director.
In August Stooke will present the interim results for the period up to 30 June 2009 and will relinquish his seat on the board in October.
Prior to his standing down, the search for his successor will be completed.
Stooke explained that after an eventful time with Catlin, which saw the firm float on the London Stock Exchange, the time had arrived for him to seek new challenges.
He added that Catlin was in a strong position and had great prospects for its future success.
Stephen Catlin, CEO, has expressed his sadness at Stooke’s departure and thanked him for his contribution to the firm.
