Heath Lambert partners Scottish builders in new product launch
Heath Lambert has joined forces with the Scottish Building Federation (SBF) to launch a new insurance scheme created by the firm’s Commercial Affinity & Small Business (CA&SB) team.
According to the broker, the new offering will give SBF’s 700 members access to insurance products while at the same time “mitigating some of the potential hazards through effective risk transfer and the unexpected events that can disrupt and delay project completion”.
SBF chief executive, Michael Levack, explains: “Heath Lambert has successfully created a service that will benefit all our members. Construction is going through a difficult time at the moment, and we are keen to provide the industry with an insurance package that meets their needs while being cost effective.”
The scheme is open to all SBF members from the one-man-band to multinational construction companies; products have been created with up to a £5 million turnover, whilst at the larger end of the scale the service is bespoke.
Heath Lambert’s managing director of CA&SB, Mike Owen, comments: “We have a real appetite for this type of business and have a lot of experience in this area.”
Last week, Heath Lambert launched a new product aimed at addressing the needs of the hotel industry.
The group says it has used its extensive experience in the industry to create flexible cover supported exclusively by AA rated insurers.
