Norwichunion.com to become Aviva.co.uk

Norwich Union is to change its online presence as it rebrands to Aviva, and its customer website will shift to Aviva.co.uk from 1 June.

The brand change will herald a single global brand, the fifth largest in the world.

Twelve years ago Norwichunion.com was launched and over the course of its lifespan some 60m visitors have seen the site, equivalent to the entire UK population browsing it.

Since 1997 100 million insurance quotes have been given and in excess of 2 million home, motor and travel insurance policies have been sold.

Aviva’s online marketing and sales chief, Steve Genders, has described how the firm has provided the public with access to the firm’s policies online for over a decade, continually seeking to improve the Norwich Union website.

Genders has stated that everything customers have become used to on the firm’s site will be readily available on its successor.
