Kwik Fit Insurance has enjoyed strong sales figures for home policies during the last month whilst aiming to expand its presence in the home insurance sector.

The intermediary, which is based in Uddingston, has reported a surge in home policy sales compared to the same period in 2008, with a rise of 42%.

Comparing the year as a whole with the prior year home policy sales have shot up by 25%.

Kwik Fit Financial Services’ Group MD, Brendan Devine, cited the reason behind the rise in sales as the firm’s efforts to increase its business in the home insurance sector, which Devine described as an area of real opportunity.

Although Kwik Fit Insurance’s primary business is car insurance, Devine has said that its customers are recognising that in other areas it can also offer real value for money.

Earlier in the month the firm won the Customer Focus award at the Contact Centre Innovation Awards, and has also been in the Sunday Times 100 best companies to work for list.
