RSA launches Data Security Standard support

RSA is offering companies an opportunity to improve their IT security in a bid to reduce credit card fraud and protect customer data.

The insurer is introducing a new scheme which includes workshops, consultancy and online analysis, aimed at supporting firms in achieving the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard, set by the Security Standards Council.

Businesses holding customer information electronically and transmitting or processing credit card information can request onsite workshops and self-assessment questionnaire support, to check out whether their documentation, processing and technical requirements are up to standard.

The insurer’s retail director, Des Cross, says: “For brokers, this provides a new and ongoing revenue stream and a reason to engage with customers outside the renewal cycle. It also enables them to demonstrate understanding of customers’ emerging risks.”

The new offering has been developed in partnership with NCC Group SecureTest, the network security specialist.
