Insurance broker and risk adviser Marsh has announced the appointment of Nabil Khawaja to head up the offshore construction team within the Global Energy Practice.

He has previously worked for Marsh in the energy construction unit, leaving the company in 2005.

Khawaja leaves behind Benfield Corporate Risk to join Marsh, and brings to his new role over two decades of industry experience.

During the course of his career he has worked with oil companies and contractors and is a specialist in offshore construction.

Khawaja has expressed his pleasure to be returning to Marsh, citing the wide talent pool and depth of expertise within the firm as his reason for returning.

Andrew George, EMEA regional leader of the Energy Practice, has welcomed Khawaja back to the firm.
