Heath Lambert creates single GI retail division

Heath Lambert is merging its core general insurance retail activities into one Heath Lambert Retail unit.

The move involves the integration of the following divisions: retail – major, financial and professional; retail – national, which includes art, jewellery and private client; treaty solutions and professional risks; commercial affinity and small business.

Two positions are being created within the broker’s retail executive committee as a result: Graham Barr, who currently heads Heath Lambert national, will take on the new role of managing director of products and markets; Alan Pratten, currently head of the Heath Lambert MFP team, will become managing director of retail clients and development.

Heath Lambert Holdings’ chief executive, Adrian Colosso, says the objective “is to strengthen and develop its role as the leading UK independent adviser and broker … this refocus of our business is to maximise client service, ensure we utilise all our vast experience and resources, and make Heath Lambert even more agile and fleet of foot in a highly competitive market”.

The restructure is accompanied by a new company strapline: “big enough to deliver and small enough to care”.
