Endsleigh appoints MD as incumbent moves across to Zurich
Zurich-owned Endsleigh has appointed a new managing director.
Ian Passmore will take over from Mike Alcock on 1st May moving from his current position of sales and marketing director for Endsleigh, held for the past 12 years.
Mr Alcock has endorsed the appointment by saying “Endsleigh will maintain its clear focus on delivery and provide continuity and stability in these uncertain economic times”.
Meanwhile, Mr Alcock is headed for a new strategic role with Zurich’s UK general insurance business and will be working on a UK distribution strategy for the group’s personal and commercial lines of business.
Zurich acquired 45% of Endsleigh’s stock in 2002, purchasing the remaining shares in the insurance intermediary in 2006.
The firm has since continued to operate independently, placing business in the best interests of its customers with a panel of insurers, including Zurich.
