Dr Wolfgang Weis has been named by Liberty International Underwriters Europe (LIU Europe) as the firm’s new branch manager for Germany.

He brings with him two decades of industry experience, having begun his career in commercial lines sales and underwriting in 1989.

Dr. Weis is to be based in LIU Europe’s Cologne officer and in his new post will be responsible for the management of all the firm’s operations within Germany.

As branch manager for Germany he will report directly to the managing director of Continental Europe operations, Gerard van Loon.

Van Loon has described Dr. Weis’ appointment as a further enhancement of the firm’s operations in Continental Europe.
