Legal & General and Merlin Claims have signed a three year agreement to enhance the service provided to Legal & General’s household insurance claims customers.
Upon notification by the customer of a claim, the Legal & General and Merlin Claims teams will collaborate with one another in a bid to deliver a more effective and efficient service for the customer.
As a result of this Legal & General is confident that it can speed up validation of claims and thereby reach resolutions at a faster pace, making life more convenient for the claimant.
Legal & General’s general insurance operations director, Andy Webb, explained that during a recent review the firm listened to customers who desired a more personal high-quality service.
To satisfy this desire for the customer, the firm has decided to work alongside Merlin Claims’ experienced team of professionals to offer an improved level of service.

I have had a minor claim ongoing with legal and general which they have passed onto Merlins since May 2009 and to date November 2009 Merlin have been unable to deal with it. It seems to use a bully approach and I have done most things by email inorder to have a record.
they don’t want to offer the same quality don’t even measure up and quote like with like. They quoted for wall tiles for example without even knowing the quality and size!
I would he happy to publish my story and supply you with copies of the emails. As not even the complaints department have tried to make contact with me!
