Heath Lambert partners Travelers in new scheme for photonics firms
Heath Lambert has announced that its Commercial Affinity & Small Business (CASB) team has created a new insurance scheme for the South East Photonics Network (SEPNET).
The initiative has been developed in partnership with Travelers; the insurer has been selected for its proven track record in the technology and electronics sector, where it has been active since 1990.
SEPNET represents over 200 organisations across South East England involved in photonics, which is the science that surrounds light.
The new scheme, branded SEPNET Insurance Services (SIS), has been tailored to meet the needs of such organisations.
According to Health Lambert, SIS will not only provide preferential rates for SEPNET members but also covers the specific needs and common concerns of photonics companies, including export to North America and elsewhere.
Cover includes business interruption, money and goods in transit, computers and network security, employers’ liability and professional indemnity.
Addition insurances such as motor fleet can also be accessed through the scheme.
Earlier this month, Heath Lambert announced that it had teamed up with Fortis Insurance UK to provide a new SME offering that will shortly be available through the Post Office network.
The companies claim the move has created the “largest SME affinity deal for commercial insurance in the UK”.
