Beazley Group plc has enhanced its property insurance business offering with the appointment of Mark Bodkin as senior underwriter on the Lloyd’s team, effective from 5 May.
Bodkin is an industry veteran who brings with him three and a half decades of experience in the insurance sector.
He recently worked for Hiscox as senior underwriter in the Global Markets Property division, and during the course of his lengthy career he has worked for Aspen, Liberty Mutual and the F. R. White syndicate, occupying a range of senior management and underwriting posts.
In his new role with Beazley Bodkin will be tasked with handling global property direct and facultative business, particularly from the US.
Head of London market underwriting Alistair Robson has welcomed Bodkin’s appointment, adding that his skills and experience would greatly benefit the firm’s clients.

Following the firm’s acquisition of First State Management Group, its property operations in the US are booming.
