Marsh & McLennan Companies, Inc. (MMC) has named William Krivoshik as the firm’s new chief information officer and senior VP, with immediate effect.

Previously he worked for Thomson Financial as chief technology officer responsible for worldwide supervision of the firm’s technology and information operations.

Earlier in his career he spent five years with Citigroup Inc. as chief information and operations officer, and has also held the post of chief information officer at AIG.

In his new post Krivoshik will be directly responsible to Brian Duperreault, MMC’s president and chief executive officer.

Dupperreault has stated that Krivoshik will be tasked with leadership of developing the organisation’s overarching technology strategy and architecture.

This will include evaluating platforms, products and services throughout the firm and working closely with the corporate technology services group.
