Claims services provider, Crawford & Company UK, has appointed Mike Woolston to its UK Executive Committee.

Mr Woolston is managing director of Crawford subsidiary, “SLS, a Crawford company” which was established last year, when the group completed the integration of its casualty operations with its Specialist Liability Services Unit.

The company has also announced further staff changes, having appointed Graeme Fitzpatrick as Managing Director – General Insurance, prior to which Mr Fitzpatrick’s title was Head of General Insurance.

Meanwhile, Sarah Civil, formerly Head of Global Technical Services UK, has become Managing Director – GTS (UK).

Both will continue to report to Benedict Burke, chief executive officer of Crawford’s UK and Irish operations.

The UK company now comprises three divisions: General Insurance, Global Technical Services and “SLS, a Crawford company”.

The US-based Crawford group has a global network covering 63 countries and says its major service lines include property and casualty claims management; warranty inspections; integrated claims and medical management; legal settlement administration; and risk management information services.

The group recently reported that its consolidated revenues for 2008 were at a record $1.05 billion, while net income for the year was double the 2007 figure, at $32.3 million.
