Global insurance broker and risk adviser Marsh has announced that it is responding to increased demand by expanding its Forensic Accounting and Claims Services (FACS) Practice in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

Recently the EMEA has seen a surge in demand for experts in specialist claims resolution and more FACS professionals have been hired to help support businesses who have made losses due to a range of reasons including property damage or commercial disputes.

In Dubai the FACS team is bolstered by the addition of Mayank Bhujwala who joins Marsh from BDO International where he held the post of audit supervisor.

Bhujwala will collaborate closely with FACS Middle East leader Ian Peters, and brings to the firm in-depth knowledge of commercial disputes and fraud.

Aruna Kumaravel has been appointed to serve in London and has been involved in forensic accounting for the last three years.

She joins the firm from Matson, Driscoll & Damico UK LLP, the forensic accounting firm, and is a specialist in loss of profits claims.

EMEA FACS team leader Andrew King has welcomed the two appointments, explaining that the global recession is leading to a rise of claims due to extra financial crime and fraud.
