Price comparison site Moneysupermarket.com has added three new insurers to its home and motor insurance panels.

Churchill, Privilege and Virgin Money have signed up to join both panels.

This brings the total number of motor insurers compared at Moneysupermarket.com to 97, whilst the total number of home insurers is now 50.

“We are delighted to now offer these new insurance providers,” said Andy Leadbetter, Moneysupermarket.com’s director of insurance.

As well as providing a price comparison service, Moneysupermarket.com allows customers to compare up to five insurers in detail.

Customer reviews of different providers are also available.

“Customer feedback tells us that choice and clear and impartial information about insurance policies is important and we want to deliver this,” Leadbetter said.

“Whilst price is still a key consideration, consumers also want to compare the features included in their insurance product.”

Recent research by Consumer Intelligence found that motorists could save an average of £155.20 per year on car insurance by using a price comparison service such as Moneysupermarket.com.
