Glacier Insurance AG has announced that it has appointed Alex Campbell to the post of senior property underwriter.

He brings with him over two decades of industry experience, and leaves behind the post of vice president with Arch Insurance Company (Europe) Ltd to join Glacier.

Whilst with Arch Insurance Campbell established the company’s underwriting team in Europe.

Earlier in his career he led an underwriting team with Allianz Global Risks, and was chief UK underwriter with Skandia Assurance Company.

Campbell, whose new role sees him based in London, will be directly responsible to Steven Price, the firm’s managing director for London.

His primary duty will be to enhance Glacier’s presence in the UK property market, and in addition to this he will be tasked with closely collaborating with the firm’s UK office network for business of an international nature.
