Kwik Fit Insurance (KFI) is in the news again, having ranked as the best UK insurance company to work for in the Sunday Times 100 best companies to work for list.

The accolade is based on an employee survey, which has also placed the Lanarkshire-based company 17th in the “best UK employer” category, having covered the merits of 997 businesses.

The insurance intermediary rose from 66th place last year.

KFI’s managing director, Brendan Devine, comments: “We put a lot of effort into making this a great place to work and we’re very proud that the Sunday Times survey has shown our employees are feeling the benefit of that. It’s our employees who help us make the business successful, so we know how important it is for us to create a positive working environment.”

In terms of in-house training, KFI excelled with 73% of employees regarding this as a great personal benefit.

In addition, 75% of staff agreed that managers helped them to fulfil their potential, giving the firm the 10th best score for this section.

KFI also scored well on “work and home life balance” and its staff are impressed with its contribution to the local community and efforts to protect the environment.

Already this week, KFI has reported that sales of home insurance policies increased by an annual 65.8% in February.

It has also published the result of a survey that suggests UK homeowners have reduced the value of their home contents cover by up to one-third over the past year.
