Open GI has developed a new tool to enable insurance providers to compare rates.
The software specialist has been working with Business Insight to produce Premium Insight, which will be marketed to insurers, underwriters and wholesale brokers.
The firm claims that users can improve profitability using the new system because they are able to benchmark products against those held within the Open GI quote engines, which according to business development director, David Kelly can access over 1,000 products from more than 100 carriers.
Premium Insight also allows new products to be tested for viability before launch.
The facility can be used in connection with motor, home, bike and commercial vehicle business and is available to UK and Irish insurance providers.
Business Insight managing director, Mark Harrison, describes it as “a major leap forward for insurance market analysis software in terms of speed, functionality and ease of use”. Users can run a single risk or a batch of risks, according to specific requirements.
In related news, Open GI recently promoted Jason Wheelhouse from corporate account manager to national sales manager.
Mr Wheelhouse is now responsible for growing of the company’s new client base and overseeing the internal and external account management teams that support Open GI’s broking sites.
