Brit Insurance expands Personal Accident team

International general insurance and reinsurance group Brit Insurance Holdings PLC has expanded its Personal Accident team with the appointment of Andrew Bowers.

In his new role Bowers is directly responsible to Brit Global Markets business’ Keith Thorogood.

Bowers leaves behind Aon Benfield, where he served as director of the Accident & Health division, to join Brit Insurance.

Prior to this he worked as director of Accident & Health with Monument UK Limited, and brings with him over two decades of industry experience during which time he worked for Park London, Rattner Mackenzie, Nicholson Leslie and CT Bowring.

Global Markets chief executive officer Matthew Wilson has welcomed Bowers’ appointment, describing him as a valuable asset to the firm’s underwriting team.
