NFB name Giles as sole insurance advisor

Independent insurance broker Giles Insurance Brokers has been appointed by the National Federation of Builders (NFB) to serve as the federation’s sole insurance advisor.

Beating off stiff competition from rivals, Giles will now offer the NFB’s 1,800 members, located across England and Wales, with insurance services tailored to their particular needs.

The appointment of a single insurance advisor marks a shift in the NFB’s traditional policy of having a separate advisor for each region.

Having achieved the appointment chief executive Chris Giles has expressed his delight at having secured a large client base to help.

The NFB’s Training and Membership Services Manager, June Davis, has described the appointment of Giles as a huge advantage for the federation’s members as the market continues to tighten.

With house prices still falling, construction has had a torrid time of late. The Federation of Master Builders (FMB) has recently polled its members and found that as many as 90,000 in the industry could be made redundant in the first half of this year.
