Duck Creek Technologies to acquire London-based affiliate
Duck Creek Technologies, Inc. (DCTI), the Missouri-based firm that provides software and services to the insurance sector, has announced plans to acquire Duck Creek Technologies Europe (DCTE).
The latter is a London-based affiliate of DCTI and the move involves acquiring the voting shares of all outside investors in DCTE, over the next two years.
According to DCTI’s chief executive, Steve Hall, the closer relationship will enable the group to expand and improve services and support for its European customer base.
The transaction involves Harald Karlsen taking the role of chairman of DCTE and Tony O’Halloran moving from his post of client services director to become managing director of the company.
Meanwhile, sales and marketing director, Julian James, has been appointed managing director of business development.
Mr O’Halloran comments that the consolidation will streamline the management and delivery of the group’s products and services in European markets, however, board directors and shareholders of both companies have yet to give their approval.
Earlier this month DCTI launched a new website which the company heralded as reflecting its maturity as a solution provider to the insurance industry.
