LV=’s Broker division has announced that it is to expand, opening a new office in Birmingham.

The office will manage relationships with brokers in the East and West Midlands, and will be situated at Baskerville House in the city centre.

Hands brings with him over two decades of experience in the insurance industry.

The team is rounded off with Dawn Harrison, who leaves behind Legal & General Life Assurance to join LV=.

The business underwent rapid expansion in the previous year, which saw its life and pensions business more than triple in size and a declared target to double its asset management business.

Halfway through last year ABC Insurance, part of LV=, opened its office in Leeds to cater to the needs of brokers in North East and West Yorkshire.

The firm presently has offices in Leeds, Croydon, Sheffield, Bristol, Bournemouth, Manchester and Maidstone, and intends to continue its expansion in a bid to grant brokers access to local decision makers.
