Kwik-Fit Financial Services (KFFS) yesterday appointed Brendan Devine as new managing director.
He succeeds Martin Oliver, who left Kwik-Fit last year to join Barbon Insurance as chief executive.
Devine’s experience in the UK and Irish financial services industry spans 20 years, the last 10 of which were spent in a variety of senior roles at GE.
His most recent position was a managing director for GE Money Loans UK, before which he worked as managing director of GE Money Motor Finance UK, and previously GE Commercial Finance, Ireland.
Devine will report direct to Kwik-Fit Group chief executive Ian Fraser.
The focus of his new role will be to develop KFFS as a leader broker of UK personal lines insurance.
KFFS will build on its strong car insurance franchise, as well as expanding its products in other areas, including van, motorbike, and household insurance.
Fraser said Kwik-Fit is ‘delighted’ at Devine’s appointment.
Devine brings a ‘wealth of experience’ to the role and has the ‘right credentials’ to lead the development of KFFS, Fraser said.
Devine said he is ‘excited’ to be joining such a ‘dynamic team’ and added that he relishes the prospect of a new challenge.
