Willis appoints MD for Latin America
Edward Fyfe has been named as the new managing director of Willis’s growing reinsurance operations in Latin America.
Based in Lima, Peru, Fyfe will report to Willis Latin America CEO Eugenio Paschoal.
Fyfe started working for Willis’s London offices when he graduated in 1984.
According to Willis, Fyfe has played an ‘integral’ role in building the company’s Latin American operations, working as Executive Director in Caracas, and Managing Director in Rio de Janeiro.
His most recent position was Regional Marketing Officer for Latin America, with responsibility for carrier relationships and placement strategy.
Eugenio Paschoal fully supports Fyfe’s appointment.
He added that he is confident of Fyfe’s continued success as regional managing director.
Sarah Turvill, chairman of Willis International, said Fyfe’s ‘talent and experience’ make him the right person to lead the company’s expansion in Latin America.
The appointment is effective immediately.
